How to open gif images with Windows Photo Viewer

To change the handlers of the gif images, you just need to do a few simple steps.

• Open the folder that contains any gif image and right-click on the image.
• Choose Properties from the right-click menu and click it.
• Find “Opens with:”. Notice that the default program to open gif images is still Internet Explorer. To change it, click the “Change” button.
• In the opened window, find Windows Photo Viewer from the list and double-click on it. You will be returned to the “Properties” window. Click OK button for the change to take effect.

From now on, whenever you open a gif image, it will open in Windows Photo Viewer.
